The new Sainsburys is finally open!

So, almost a full year since we were kicked out of our office, works have finally completed and the new Sainsbury's on Heaton Road is finally open. It seemed to take 10 months for the builders to make it usable and then the Sainsbury's guys 4 weeks to make it as it is. I know who's going to be doing any refurb work for me! Though I don't think that our properties require cigarette counters and express check outs. Though the latter might make rent collection easier......

The low point of my visit was when I tried to go to the part of the store that would have been my old desk only to find out it was now the booze aisle. Rub my nose it, why don't you...?

Anyway, the store looks great and the staff seem friendly but spare a thought for poor old Mo from the shop over the road who's business will surely now suffer. Maybe once in a while, pop in and buy something from him and tell him that I said hi!
